Terms of Application

• The proposed research topic should fit with in of the following research themes:
  
  1. The economics of innovation — including: the process of technological change and innovation; the economics of knowledge and new technologies; structural change and economic development; economic complexity and innovation.
  2. Public policy and governance  — including: governance and institutions; migration and development; population, development and labour economics; social protection; poverty and inequality;
  
  
  
• The deadline for submitting the application form is:
  15 February 2026 at midnight CET.
  
  
• If you applied before the deadline (15 February 2026), your referee has until 22 February2026 to send in the reference letter in order to make your application complete. If your application is not complete after 22 February 2026 we unfortunately cannot include it in the selection process.
  
  
• After the selection procedure by the Scientific Board, we will inform all applicants about the decision. The application decision is not open for discussion.
  
  
• Applications cannot be held over until the following year. If you wish to re-apply, you must submit a new form
